River Blackwater Canoe Trail

The Blackwater is an ideal venue providing a trail of 20km for canoeing enthusiasts of any ability. The river lazily meanders through the beautiful countryside of counties Armagh and Tyrone, flowing gently into Lough Neagh. From Lough Neagh the options are endless.

Please Note: Canoeists have reported a tree blocking the river approximately 1km downstream of Maydown Bridge i.e. between Access point 1 and Access point 2. This has been reported to the necessary bodies and we will update this notice once the issue has been resolved.

It is advised that canoeists launch at at Blackwater Town - Access Point 2 until the hazard is cleared.
