If you’re keen to get out on the water and you don’t have your own equipment then you’ve come to the right place!

This section gives a list of outdoor providers in Northern Ireland who offer canoeing and kayaking as recreational activities.

Family activities
In July & August you can take part in an outdoor activity every day (except Saturday). Our programme is specially designed for families: you do not need to be part of a group or to have any experience; just ring to book your place and come to enjoy the fun. All activities are either 2 or 3 hours long and are run by qualified staff.

Waterpark sessions: 2 hour sessions, 10am-12pm or 2-4pm on Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays. Jump, bounce, slide on this island of fun.

Canoeing sessions: 3 hour session on Mondays 2-5pm. Discover Upper Lough Macnean and its islands.

Climbing & Archery sessions: 3 hour session on Wednesdays 10am-1pm. Half of session climbing on purpose built wall, half session on the archery range.

Fridays activity changes every week. Ring for details: choice of caving, mountain biking, surfing or windsurfing. 3 hour session 10am-1pm.

All activities must be booked in advance as we only work with small groups. Normal booking conditions apply.
Hen & Stag Week-end
Stay in one of our self-catering cottages nestling
in a natural woodland setting on the shores of Lough Macnean. On Saturday before your Hen / Stag evening try canoeing, caving, mountain biking, waterpark or surfing, etc… Guaranteed to get you on a high before your night out.

The one and only waterpark in Ireland

No worries about cold water…Corralea Activity Centre provides wetsuits and buoyancy aids for all sizes.

The waterpark is open to the public on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Morning session (10am-12pm), afternoon session (2-4pm). Prior booking essential.

Corralea Activity Centre also offers other exciting activities on site next to its self-catering cottages: climbing, archery, canoeing, windsurfing, caving, etc…

Located on its own island adjacent to the island town of Enniskillen amid the stretches of Upper and Lower Lough Erne and midway on the award winning Lough Erne Canoe Trail, the Centre is perfectly situated for all levels of Open Canoeing all year round.

What will I learn on the course?

1.The basics of planning and preparation for your journey to include route choice, fitness and equipment choice.

2.The basics of Open Canoe flat water canoe handling and paddle strokes.

3.The basics of Open Canoe safety to include hazard awareness, avoidance and emergency procedures.

4.To enjoy the natural environment responsibly using the principles of ‘Leave No Trace’.

What is the course format?

Basic theory shall be covered each morning in our centre while other elements shall be introduced throughout the 3 days with emphasis on the practical application of the theory while out and about paddling. All of the basics shall be covered on days 1 and 2 during two local journeys and put into practice on day 3 on a island hopping journey to include Devonish Island, home to one of Northern Irelands ancient monastic settlements and round tower.

This Centre has been offering a variety of Canoeing courses since 1996. With highly qualified staff the Centre is has a wealth of experience teaching beginners to seasoned pros.

Get away from it all and learn new skills in the outdoors. Your 2 day excurison starts at Share holiday Village in the morningwith a bus trip to Ballyconnel on the Erne Shannon Link. You will be dropped off with Open Canoes, and all paddling and camping equipment.

Your trip will begin early with a trip along the Erne Shannon link stopping to look at the wildlife en route. The trip will take you to areas only reachable by canoe and the serenity of the location will encapsulate you. You will learn techniques to minimise your noise whilst paddling to enjoy the tranquility throughout. You will attempt to catch your dinner and learn bushcraft skills incluidng sustainable fire lighting techniques, shelter building and navigation whilst adhering to the Outdoor Ethics of Leave No Trace to minimise your impact on your surroundings. Our knowledgeable instructors will also inform you of the vast array of useful flora and fauna that are all around us. For family groups - campfire games and stories will be included to stimulate even the youngest members.

That evening you will paddle to your campsite at the National Trust property of Crom - a Romantic and tranquil landscape of islands, woodland and historical ruins. Here you will see Irelands Oldest Yew Trees (named amongst the 50 great British trees) and see Wild deer, pine marten bats and butterflies as well as Deer joyfully playing in the beautiful grounds before setting out along the culturally rich Upper Lough Erne. The following morning you will paddle through reed beds and passed Irelands Oldest Yacht Club and have the opportunity to stop at the island of Insihrath - where the Hare Krishner community leads a way of life inspired by the 5000 year old Vedic Texts of ancient India. Peakcocks, heron, swan, irish hare and other wildlife wander freely in the peaceful lakeland atmosphere. Paddling on from Inishrath you will stop on Trannish Island Tee Pees for lunch before completing the paddle back to Share Holiday Village.

3 Day Canoeing Adventures in Northern Ireland
Bush craft Environmental Canoe Trips –

Adventure Holiday Accomodation on a shoesting
Our Northern Ireland Tourist Board 3 star hostel rated Self Catering Chalets can be your "gateway" not only to the many attractions in Fermanagh but also Sligo, Donegal and the surrounding border counties.

All Chalets are double glazed and have central heating for year round use and comfort. All of our accommodation is en-suite. Each of the 17 Self Catering Chalets sleep between 8-12 people and contains its own kitchen, dining and living area.

All Share's facilities have been purpose built for guests with special needs to ensure freedom of access and independence. The site offers a safe environment for children to play whilst parents relax.

Fishing breaks on Upper Lough Erne are available during weekends or for Three, Five or Seven days.

Share is situated close to the mouth of the Colebrook river. Considered Northern ireland's Fishing Mecca. Coarse and game fishing are available, however the Upper Lough is reknowned for its Coarse fishing. Pike, Roach and Bream are among the most frequent catches.

Summer Adventure Camp
Share is running a new summer adventure camp for 2010

The camp includes:

· Morning, afternoon and evening activities

· Food and accommodation

· RYA/BCU Qualification

· 24 Hour Supervision

Courses Run from Sunday to Sunday to assist with drop off and pick up, however participants may also arrive on Monday morning before 9.30 am.

Price At just £195 pp there is a 35% reduction on the standard 7 day residential price! For 2 or more children booked there is a further 10% discount i.e. £175.50 pp.

Junior Camp - 10 - 15 year Olds - 14 Spaces
The Junior camp will stay in the en-suite accommodation in our farmhouse (4 bedded rooms). With a range of different activities every afternoon tailored to their age group. Camp participants will complete their BCU Canoe/Kayak Paddlepower Start and Discover Awards. Activities include: Archery, Climbing, Combat Corps, Mod Roc,

Bushwacker Camp 15-18 Year Olds - 14 Spaces
The Bushwacker Camp participants will stay in the en-suite accommodation in our farmhouse (4 Bedded Rooms) for three nights. For the rest of the camp they will undertake wilderness skills including shelter building, navigation, fire lighting, fishing etc. Participants will complete a passage on the Lough Erne Canoe Trail under camp undertaking the necessary requirements to complete their BCU Canoe/Kayak 1/2 Star Awards depending on ability.

Fermanagh’s luscious green countryside and lakeside scenery make it the ideal location for walking. With the new Ulster Way opening between Aughnacloy and Florence Court, Share are ideally located for a rest point en-route. Share is Situated close to Cuilcagh Mountain which along with the Marlbank area provides some of the most spectacular scenery in Fermanagh. Cuilcagh is the highest point in Fermanagh at 665m and with its distinctive table top profile, dramatic cliffs, cave systems, geology, archaeology, flora, fauna and folklore really is a spectacular climb.
Share Offer Pick Up and Drop Off at points along the Ulster Way for residential groups of six or more. Pick up points include Lisnaskea, Derrylin, Maguiresbridge and drop offs can be arranged to Florence Court and Cuilcagh Mountain amongst others.
